Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Recap

 

This season had a lot of haters. This season ran from May 24th to August 5th, 2024. It consisted of the apocalypse. After Pandora's box was opened and war broke out between the gods, we were left in rubble after the sandstorm was released by Zeus. 

Our bosses of the season consisted of Scarr, who looked like an off-brand Jojo Siwa. The Machinist was probably the most popular, and Megalo Don was the big guy with the golden fists.

This season brought us car customizations and upgrades, nitro, boss cars, and the red desert which is still one of my least favorite places to land. 

We got items like the boom bolt, nitro fists, nitro splash, Nuka Cola, tow hook, laser rifle, and med mist. 

The only items from the battle pass that I really liked were the glider for the Machinist because you rode the side of it, and the shark because well, it's a shark.

The "Funny" character of the season was Peabody which was a man made out of peas. Not my favorite but I think the back bling and trail were cute.

The collaboration character was from Fallout. I didn't love the skin but the back bling and wrap were cute.

The special character was Magneto which I think was in preparation for the next season. The only thing I really liked about this was the stair glider.

We had a few special events this season starting with Metalica. We had to gather musical notes throughout the world, and we got the ride the lighting guitar which took a little while to master. Especially when we had to aim to hit something rather than just run away. 

We later got the amazing Pirates of the Caribbean event. If you don't know me I love these series and I was so excited for this event. This was the first mini battle pass I have ever purchased and I was happy to do so. We have characters like Jack, Barbosa, Davey Jones, and Elizabeth. We had to do quests like gather gold and walk the plank. The one thing I really didn't like about this event was the final reward was bugged and I couldn't get it till the event was over. 

Then Fortnite decided to add a new game mode for fall guys. You can now play maps in Fortnite that have the mechanics from Fall Guys. To show people the mod they added a mini parkour on the map and quests to encourage people to play it, granting users a mini fall guy backbling upon completion. 

This season was long and rough and definitely had a disadvantage for people who didn't want to use cars all the time. We got some good things out of this season but I think a lot of people can agree we are glad the new season has started. I feel like it did make me learn more about Fortnite almost having to learn new ways to play and find different ways to enjoy the game.
